Privacy Policy

Your photos
Blur.photo blurs and removes photo backgrounds entirely in your browser, using WebAssembly and WebGL. The photo you upload is never sent to our servers or any third party — it's read directly from your device, processed on your device, and the result stays on your device until you choose to download or share it. We have no copy of it and no way to access it.
Analytics
We use Yandex Metrika to understand how the site is used —
things like which pages are visited, click and scroll
patterns, and approximate bounce rate. This does not include
your photos or anything you upload. Yandex Metrika sets a small
number of cookies (such as _ym_uid and _ym_d) to recognize repeat visits, and may log your
IP address, browser, device type, and an approximate
location derived from it. We don't use this data to identify
you personally, and we don't sell or share it beyond what
Yandex's own service requires to operate. See Yandex's privacy policy for details on how they handle this data.
Local storage & offline use
To make the site load faster on repeat visits and to let it work offline, your browser caches the app itself and the machine learning model files locally (using the browser's Cache API / service worker storage). This is storage on your own device — it is not data we receive or can see, and you can clear it at any time from your browser settings.
Children's privacy
Blur.photo is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we add features that change how data is handled — for example, optional accounts — we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above before those changes take effect.
